Travel to Greek gastronomy

Greece is famous for its historical monuments, culture, sunny weather and beaches. But, it is more than that! Greece is a real paradise for foodies, as Greek gastronomy is synonymous to Mediterranean cuisine. Fresh fish, extra virgin olive oil, Greek salad, spoon sweets and many more local flavors make Greece one of the top gastronomy destinations.

With SUPERFAST FERRIES the tasting tour starts on board, as you have the chance to enjoy traditional Greek dishes, at the “A la carte” and Self Service restaurants of our vessels. Famous chef Giorgos Gatsias has created a menu full of Mediterranean flavours that guarantee a unique gastronomic experience on board!

The moment you reach Patras, you can taste the Greek coffee at the traditional small cafes, also called as “kafenia” by the locals, and then take the trail to Kalavryta, a picturesque and historic mountain village.

Do not miss the ride with Odontotos, the famous small gauge railway in one of the most spectacular railroads.  One of the railroads reaches Zachlorou, a renowned village located on the Vouraikos riverbanks where you have the opportunity to stroll around and find local tavernas with delicious grilled steaks, pies, feta cheese or even the famous souvlaki and wine from local producers.

Next station: Nemea! In less than 2 hours, you arrive at a beautiful village, widely known for the great varieties of red wine as well as the historical wineries. Do not forget to book a visit at a traditional Greek winery and learn more about the grape varieties. It is a unique tasting experience.

Book your tickets with SUPERFAST FERRIES and live the experience of a journey in the Greek food and wine history and culture.
