Patras at a glance

The City of Patras is the capital of western Greece and as a major port, it constitutes the primary gateway of Greece to Italy and Western Europe. Patras situated on the northwest coast of the Peloponnese, between the Gulfs of Corinth and Patras. Built on a strategic seaside location, within a short distance from the coasts of Aitoloakarnania, very close to Ionian Islands and just a few hours away from Italy. With only 220 km from Athens, Patras can be the starting point for the visiting of the most important archaelogical sites of Greece (Olympia, Delphi, Epidavros, Mycenae, Mistras).
