The fuel surcharge on passenger fares will increase from Euro 4.00 to Euro 10.00 per unit per journey leg and applies to all fares for passengers (excl. infants) and private vehicles including motorcycles. The fuel surcharge applies to new bookings only.
The fuel surcharge for freight movements, per unit, per journey leg, will be adjusted as follows:
- Ancona routes, Adriatic Sea: Euro 40.00
- Bari route, Adriatic Sea: Euro 25.00
- Rostock-Hanko route, Baltic Sea: Euro 40.00
- Rostock-Uusikaupunki route, Baltic Sea: Euro 15.00
- Rosyth-Zeebrugge route, North Sea: GBP 20.00/Euro 30.00
The continuing rise in global oil prices to USD70/barrel forces upon us a regrettable yet unavoidable further fuel surcharge on our tickets.
We now expect our fuel bill for our Superfast Ferries fleet for the current financial year to be around Euro 70 mln. This additional fuel surcharge will help mitigate the effect of the fuel price.
Due to the continuing fluctuations in the price of fuel, Superfast Ferries will review this surcharge on a regular basis with a view to adjusting it when appropriate.
