Attica Group and Trenitalia introduce the InterRail Italy Plus Pass, a New InterRail One Country Pass which was released on 1st January 2013. This pass is valid on Trenitalia's Railway lines and Attica Group's sea-routes in the Adriatic Sea (Ancona/Bari-Igoumenitsa-Patras).
InterRail Italy Plus Pass holders are able to travel for FREE around Italy: from the North to the South and also to Greece (Patras and Igoumenitsa), since the New InterRail Italy Plus pass is valid in the Italian railway network as well as on the sea-lines Ancona and Bari (Italy) to Patras and Igoumenitsa (Greece), operated by Superfast Ferries (a member of Attica Group).
Through this collaboration between Italy's major railway carrier Trenitalia and the Greek shipping company Attica Group, the InterRail offer is further enriched in order to give tourists the unique opportunity to visit two countries of their interest.
